Engineering comes before guesswork

Load-bearing alterations may require a structural engineer and Building Control approval. We can work from your existing design or help identify what information is needed before a firm construction scope is agreed.

Serving Christchurch, Highcliffe, Mudeford, New Milton and selected projects across nearby Dorset and Hampshire.

Before you get started.

Do I need a structural engineer?

If a wall or opening carries load, an engineer will usually be needed to specify the permanent support. The requirement depends on the existing structure and the alteration proposed.

Can you install an RSJ or lintel?

Yes, where it forms part of an agreed design. We follow the engineer's specification and coordinate the bearings, padstones, temporary support and making good required around it.

Can you complete the plastering and finishing too?

Yes. The quotation can include the connected making good, plastering and carpentry so the alteration is left ready for the next agreed finish.

Tell us what you have in mind.
